History

Looking out at the landscape of the market, it has been documented that a lack of trusted information and providers is the Photovoltaic (PV) Solar industry’s biggest challenge in Florida.
Uptown Energy Solutions was founded in 2016 by Mike McGrath when he decided to take the leap out of the world of electronic component design / manufacturing, and into PV Solar consulting so that he might help light the way to solar for thousands of home and business owners across his home state.
Since that time, UES has served and provided direct support to all sectors of the industry : homeowners, business owners, non-profits, municipal governments and even new product developers / manufacturers and financing groups.
We are well on our way to leaving our mark on the history of both renewable energy and building science.
Mission
How does one decide what to do every day? Based on facts or habits?
UES’s mission is and always has been to provide non-biased, no-nonsense PV solar solutions and information to anyone who is interested in diversifying their energy mix to include clean, affordable solar energy, and to support the advancement of the solar industry as a whole.
While we do provide assistance to select residential projects, our primary focus at this time is to provide PV solar + battery solutions for Commercial, Government and Not-For-Profit Organizations so that they may reap the numerous potential benefits of on-site solar generation including, but not limited to, reducing both long and short term operational costs.
